About the role

As a Software Engineer at Sectra, you’ll be at the core of our product development. You’ll not only design, code, and test our software but also play a key role in ensuring that our solutions address real problems faced by healthcare professionals every day. Our mission is to deliver systems that are intuitive, scalable, and highly effective.


Your team

Our development teams are organized into agile, self-organized groups with a shared passion for technology. Together, we are responsible for the design, implementation, and quality of our products.


What you'll do

This role offers a mix of technical challenges and opportunities to work alongside dedicated colleagues. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Solving complicated and interesting challenges in our backend using C# and C++.
  • Optimizing our solutions for cloud-native environments, primarily in Microsoft Azure.
  • Designing, managing, and stabilizing SQL databases for reliability and efficiency.
  • Using tools like Visual Studio, Git, and Jira to manage your code and track progress.
  • Ensuring seamless API communication between backend and frontend.
  • Contributing to an inspiring work environment where knowledge-sharing and innovations thrive.

Skills & Requirements

We also want you to have a strong analytical mindset in which we consider it to be important that you can understand and break down and solve problems. We also want you to be a good communicator where you have the ability to interact with colleagues, partners and customers in a effective, clear and constructive way.

In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within engineering, IT or similar with a strong academic record
  • Have a strong interest in new and innovative technology and software development
  • Be fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written
  • Value customer contact and thrive in a fast-paced technological environment

We consider it a great asset if you:

  • Have experience of software development in agile technologies
  • Speak more languages than those required above
  • Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, sports leader, music, horseback riding singing or flying for example
  • Don't like to sit in unnecessary meetings, we prefer to think and develop software
