Sales Executive, CO2 analytics at Sievo

We at Sievo are a Finnish fast-growing SaaS Procurement and Sustainability Analytics company founded in 2003. Sievo creates tangible value for our customers, and we have a passion for data and analytics. For the past ten years Sievo has been growing ~30%/year, our key markets being Europe & US. Our client portfolio consists of large global companies such as Levi’s, Carlsberg, Schindler, Deutsche Telekom and Unilever, and these are the kind of companies you will be working with.

Last year we launched our newest CO2 analytics product, and we are now looking for someone to drive the growth of this fast-growing product by helping top global companies in their carbon reduction journey with Sievo’s CO2 analytics solution. Are you the sustainability expert we are looking for?

Your job is to master the whole sales process from engaging with leads, to driving countless sales meetings and demos with multiple stakeholders, to handling complex RFx processes, to finally negotiate prices and contracts. You are expected to become a Sustainability Analytics advisor to our prospects with expertise ranging from business perspectives to technical details of the Sievo application. In addition, a key part of this role will be exploring the product-market fit as well as the go-to-market strategy closely with our product, sales, and marketing teams.

You will engage with large cap companies’ C-level and director-level stakeholders, mainly from sustainability as well as procurement, IT, and finance. You’ll be ready to convince them of not only the value Sievo will bring to their organizations but also the value of measuring emissions in general. Being able to convince customers how our solution answers to, for example, the evolving of CO2 calculations and EU regulations on the topic will be crucial.

The role is of an individual contributor with the hunger to succeed, handle long, complex multi-stakeholder sales processes and have credibility to convince senior stakeholders of our sustainability capabilities. We will support you in your growth to become a sustainability advisor by providing you all the required training and everyday support across the company. You will always have direct access to our top management and will be reporting to the product manager of CO2 analytics, located in Helsinki.

Your challenge in this role is to open our CO2 analytics new sales, participate in defining the go-to-market strategy for the product cross functionally, as well as close complex six figure deals with some of the largest companies in the world. We expect you to:

  • Take full responsibility of Sievo’s CO2 analytics new sales
  • Work cross-functionally to adjust go-to-market strategy as necessary
  • Have experience and expertise in carbon reduction and sustainability in general. A good test here is whether you know what the abbreviations GHG, CDP, SBTI, and SDG mean. If yes, read further!
  • Absorb vast amounts of information and have an intellectual curiosity for learning new things and a drive to get things done

  • Drive forward and handle long, complex multi-stakeholder sales processes with the help from technical presales team and other Sievo teams

  • Have credibility to convince senior stakeholders

  • Participate in relevant marketing activities, such as customer events and sustainability trade shows to generate market insights and new leads with your social selling skills

We would appreciate if you would have:

  • At least 1-2 years of B2B SaaS sales or account management experience
  • Hunger for success but patience for long sales cycles
  • Analytical mindset and ability to structure, communicate and present complex enterprise software proposals
  • Fluency in English. Other European language skills are appreciated
  • Ability and willingness to travel to a certain extent
