Northvolt has an exciting job opportunity as a Manufacturing Launch Manager to join our passionate team in Skellefteå.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories and contribute to the transformation to a carbon-free society.

About the job

As a Manufacturing Launch Manager you coordinate all efforts across the company related to releasing new products to the market and guarantee a smooth production launch of all manufacturing processes. You keep the Manufacturing teams aligned, working toward agreed-upon milestones, and helping to ensure the product launch is smooth and creates the maximum positive impact in the market. In addition, you represent Manufacturing in the Northvolt program structure and in customer launch meetings.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and managing the launch timeline, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed and involved in the process.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as production, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and quality control to ensure that all aspects of the launch are executed smoothly.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing contingency plans to minimize the impact of any potential issues during the launch process.
  • Ensuring that the manufacturing process is optimized for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Overseeing the ramp-up of production to reach full-scale production, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to secure materials and components needed for the launch and managing the logistics of delivering these materials to the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensuring that all necessary regulatory and safety requirements are met during the launch process.
  • Leading post-launch evaluations to identify areas for improvement and ensure that lessons learned are applied to future launches.
  • Maintaining a high level of communication with stakeholders and customer, keeping them informed of progress and any issues that arise.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Degree in engineering
  • Strong background in manufacturing operations, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience from Business Intelligence software like MS Power BI or similar
  • Experience in the Operations Management principles: Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S
