Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Auto-Flight (AFCS) Systems Engineer to help us design, develop and certify the integrated avionics systems. You will work closely with system engineers in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop the AFCS system requirements
  • Support AFCS integration with FCS, Safety, certification
  • Develop test plan, test procedures, follow up snags and problem reports
  • Interface with suppliers

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BS & MS in engineering (Aerospace/Aeronautics/Electrical)
  • Aeronautical Science or Electrical Engineering studies of systems and their applications in aerospace products
  • Experience in a training or work-study program in a commercial or research environment, being trained or working with electronic systems or aerospace products
  • 1-2 years experience with automatic flight control systems including flight director, autopilot, yaw damper and autothrottle (ATA 22), from studies, internship or work experience
  • Basic understanding of system requirements management and V&V process
  • Basic understanding of aircraft system certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
  • Eagerness to work with others
  • Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission

The ideal candidate would have :

  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles for safety critical systems (SAE ARP 4754/4761)
  • Experience as Flight Control System integrator
  • Model based design (MBD) / Simulation experience
