As a Frontend Practice Lead , you will enable the growth and individual development in the Frontend Practice area. You will ensure the Frontend Team members’ high engagement through regular 1-to-1 meetings and clear Individual Development Plans that go hand in hand with company objectives.
The Frontend Practice Lead is a manager for Frontend Developers.
You will cooperate with the Technical Manager and other Practice Leads to ensure the high quality of our projects delivery. You will unlock the flow of information between technical members of projects, engage in recognising the individual and team achievements. You will conduct onboarding, performance and salary reviews for your team members, and support them as they go through the same process.
Lead the way for Frontend Team members
Plan recruitment together with the Technical Manager and other Practice Leads
Enable Knowledge Sharing Sessions across teams and projects
Set, Revise and Support individual goals on an ongoing basis, by aligning business strategy and individual needs
Ensure clear expectations and success KPIs for your team members
Collect and share performance feedback to individuals
Recognise your team members achievements
Oversee and delegate proper onboarding for new Frontend Talents
Supporting team members in leading others
Creates opportunities for team members to attend external and internal trainings
Identifies “points of interest” within the teams and pushes this bottom-up to empower team members
Drive success in digital commerce and experience
Design and support development, testing and documentation of software projects
Advocate for best software development practices
Promote high quality development of client-specific and reusable components
Consult on Frontend Architecture
Support Sales activities
Skills & Requirements
Expertise in leading a team and setting individual development goals
Up to date on newest technology stacks
Hands-on experience with Frontend Technologies: React, Vue, TypeScript
Strong knowledge of PWAs, SPAs, and web development fundamentals such as HTML5 and CSS3
Experience in using front end monitoring tools to troubleshoot errors and recognise performance bottlenecks
Ability to build scalable products from scratch, as well as, extending existing applications.
Experience in full software development cycle, from planning to deployment
Software Engineering Approach - balancing efforts, business needs and long term maintenance objectives
Understanding of different software development approaches and their benefits, including Test Driven Development
Clear communication in English
Flexibility to adjust to new processes
Capable of estimating time to complete specific tasks, and breaking down bigger tasks into smaller chunks
