Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of multiple testing streams.
  • Production of the test strategy approach for the programme end to end and ensuring each workstreams test approach aligns to overall end to end test approach for all phases.
  • Ensuring all test approach documents are agreed and signed off with stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular meetings with senior stakeholders to communicate accomplishments, plans and issues as well as any risks to the project's progress and continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with test/service partners and suppliers to deliver projects to high quality, on time and encourage the innovation in the team.
  • Define and track test metrics such as test effectiveness, coverage, productivity etc.
  • Review the project deliverables and status on the regular intervals and ensure smooth deliveries for key programmes.
  • Oversight and management of testing resources and activities for all applications within the programme scope.
  • Work closely with the application build managers to deliver fully tested code for SIT test phase.
  • Making the business case and identifying and implementing automation capabilities where the investment ensures returns.
  • Minimize test resource repeating automatable test cases.
  • Raising and maintaining relevant RAID items for testing and reviewing RAID items across the workstreams relevant to testing in the appropriate governance forums (PDG etc).
  • Creation and updating of test plans and key milestones across the programme.
  • Participating with test managers in individual workstreams test planning.
  • Managing test environment and data utilization with the environment’s teams supporting testing.
  • Escalating to the programme director and delivery director PDG and steering level risks, issues assumptions and dependencies.
  • Ensuring test tooling and environment are requested and ready for test phases.
  • Identifying and agreeing testing cycles entry and exit criteria per phase.
  • Ensuring testing resources are experienced in the domain they will be completing test execution.

Skills & Requirements

Key Skills

  • Experience leading testing end to end on a murex platform implementation integrated into a banks risk, financial, trade reporting solution.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT (ideally from a banking domain).
  • 5+ year’s test management.
  • Understanding of automation testing.
  • Experience working in Jira/Zephyr for Test and defect management (test scenarios/cases, defects, reporting) and other tools such as confluence.
  • Strong test estimation skills on manual as well as automation projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical groups.
  • Strong experience on leading large testing team to ensure the deliverables meets the project requirements and the specified quality and timeline parameter.
  • Experience in developing test strategy, test planning, scheduling, allocation of test engineers to programs, ensuring test environment availability, generation of test reports, communication of test status and networking to coordinate test activities.
  • Experience in delivering end to end testing in multiple projects.
  • Excellent team management and stakeholder management skill.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvements in the team/area.
  • Ability to develop and nurture solution with limited (or changing) information.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
