Are you a Communications Leader capable of designing a Comms Strategy to guide Hurtigruten through a time of significant change and global expansion

Hurtigruten Group is growing, and we are looking for a new Communications Leader for our Expeditions division. The position will be responsible for delivering a “Top of the class” communication strategy that enables a strategic positioning of Hurtigruten Expeditions aligned with the growth strategy and builds a strong brand both externally and internally. Building the brand by proactively storytelling and engagement in media and platforms.

  • Ensure a long-term strategic view of HRX brand and communication and ensure all functions/business units work together towards the same goal.

  • Develop and drive internal communication and storytelling strategies to build a strong HRX culture, strengthen employee loyalty and celebrate success stories​

  • Plan, execute and continuously evolve press and media strategies, and continuously manage incoming inquiries. Arrange press trips with media brands when strategically advantageous ​

  • Responsible for preparing and supporting top management or functions on crisis communication and crisis management​

  • Plan and write core HRX storytelling which is communicated across markets. Ensure approximately the same brand association across markets​

  • Proactively identify opportunities and wins through wide cross-functional collaboration and alignment​

  • Can influence at an operational and executive level. Conveys the complex in simple terms and presents influentially. Targets hearts as well as minds.

  • Is a bold radical thinker and learns beyond own sector. Is prepared to stand alone on key issues. Challenges others and encourages others to challenge. Reshapes the operating model and makes smart use of new technology to increase competitiveness. Quickly turns ideas into action. Creates a culture of innovation and learning.

  • Identifies emerging trends/ market insights. Contributes to BU/function strategy; translates for own BU/function, looking 1-2 years out​

  • Challenging the status quo by constantly evaluating how a strategy needs to evolve and employs a multi-year perspective​

  • Able to pivot between execution of short-term priorities and long-term planning. Also need to have the intellectual strength to handle complex information and be able to triangulate multiple data points​

  • Be able to not only represent own function in the leadership team, but also apply an enterprise lens and be willing to bring a perspective on matters beyond own role​

  • Understand how to navigate the broader Hurtigruten effectively, involving other business areas in a collaborative and purposeful manner to gain support and buy-in for own objectives​

  • Be strong representatives and advocates of the culture and lead their teams in a committed, inspiring and ethical manner. Also bring a sustainability mindset into own function​
