Our Gigafactory in Gothenburg will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe, with a potential annual cell production capacity of up to 50 gigawatt hours (GWh) – thereby enabling a supply of batteries for approximately half a million Volvo and Polestar cars per year. Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to be a part of our Financial Accounting team, working primarily with dedicated accounting activities for the legal entities within the NOVO Energy Group.

Your Future Responsibilities

  • You will have the opportunity to get in at the start and being a valuable player to develop our future finance organization and be a good advisor and speaking partner on matters related to accounting and reporting.

  • As we are in a start-up phase you will have an important role in the day-to-day accounting working with Accounts Payable, Journal entries, Account reconciliations, Salary, Tax as well as supporting with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing. Similarly, you will support with monthly analysis, statistical reporting, annual report and coordination with our external auditors. Within finance we work in close interaction with the business operations to continuously work on establishing, improving and streamlining our financial processes.

Skills & Requirements

To be successful in this role you should have a strong interest in accounting, curiosity for digitalization and the will to improve processes and play a key role in developing processes within the function and communicating these changes to relevant stakeholders. Your analytic capabilities and computer skills are strong, and you possess abilities to grasp the big picture

Personal qualities such as high integrity and ability to uphold standards of professionalism and confidentiality are valued. We believe that you are flexible and know who to handle short notice situations. Since you will be member of a team and a key contact person, work well with others will be a key factor.

We believe that you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Accounting or a similar role.
  • Degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance or similar.
  • D365 F&O ERP experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience of working with large companies in multi-cultural environment is preferred.

Specific skills

  • Business language within the NOVO Energy Group is English.
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm to work in a fast-moving business.
  • Able to work independently and drive issues to conclusion.
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Highly accurate and detail oriented.
