Our sales team is growing. We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Sydney team.

The Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisitions and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management, we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging marketing and sales technology platforms for managing the entire sales cycle.

As trusted advisors with industry and solution expertise, we focus on providing value to our customers through advice and insight into best practices. In partnership with Marketing, Customer Services and Partners, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions.

Reporting to the VP Sales, the Account Executive will be responsible for sourcing and cultivating new business opportunities in the Enterprise/Corporate sectors. The successful candidate will focus on pipeline development to effectively maximize coverage of allocated territory and actively pursue relationships at executive and mid-management levels, with the intention of closing the sale.

Key responsibilities:

  • Source and develop new business opportunities and attain sales quotas
  • Meet and exceed new business cloud annual recurring revenue targets
  • Define territory, account strategy and hunting activities for acquiring new customers and then provide the leadership to execute against the targets
  • Forecast and build an accurate sales pipeline to effectively maximize coverage of territory and identified accounts.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in targeted accounts
  • Manage and coordinate the entire sales process for targeted customers
  • Work closely with Marketing and Pre-sales to ensure the flow of leads and deal closures
  • Record all sales-related activities in Basware’s sales management system (CRM) to ensure accurate ongoing forecasting

Skills & Requirements

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have

  • Experience in Software as a Service, Procurement, e-Invoicing, Finance and/or Business Intelligence would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of process automation, exposure to document management, workflow and financial software industries would be advantageous

  • Familiarity with adhering to Sales processes and compliance, also using CRM systems

  • Experience in successfully closing new business deals in the enterprise sector will be highly regarded.

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, IT or related area
