In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.

Currently we're looking for Spare Parts Specialist to join our team in Gdańsk who will takes charge of spare parts inventory, its unification & optimization in close cooperation with maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Orders and receives all spare & wear parts, consumables, supplies, tools or equipment for maintenance team
  • Runs best value option analysis & applies critical thinking, creativity & sense of urgency skills for all purchases
  • Develops standard work process & compiles all logistics documentation linked with each purchases order (delivery notes, custom clearance etc.)
  • Acts as area owner of storeroom with focus to stock and organize inventory area as well as maintain 5S
  • Develops standard work process for spare parts management including cleanliness requirements
  • Coordinates distribution of parts, required to execute preventive or corrective maintenance, for maintenance technicians
  • Manages inventory level ensuring sufficient stock & safety stock levels to sustain preventive & corrective activities
  • Analyzes usage trends & continuously works towards optimization of inventory with close cooperation with maintenance team
  • Coordinates spare parts ordering in line with procurement policies with close cooperation with supply chain team
  • Receives & unloads (if needed) all deliveries to storeroom
  • Supports maintenance team with shipments out of the plant
  • Operates forklift and other handling equipment required to execute loads or unloads
  • Supports logistics team with custom clearance
  • Performs periodic storeroom inventory checks, executes discrepancies & reconciliation analysis, design & creates reports and lead corrective actions to keep inventory within target levels

Skills & Requirements

  • minimum secondary technical education with mechanic, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or a similar profile, alternatively logistics
  • at least 2 years of experience on a similar position in a production company
  • combination of experience & background in mechanics & logistics is an additional benefit
  • good command of English
  • experience in reading technical drawings, knowledge in the field of mechanics is an advantage
  • practical knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • practical experience in ERP system
  • ability to work in a team and to cooperate actively with maintenance and production staff
  • high level of ownership & ability to influence others
