Mission

For our Cloud and Custom Applications unit, we are looking for a motivated Mendix Senior Developer/Tech Lead with a focus on quality project delivery, architectural and technical best practices, team coaching and a solution-oriented mindset.

In 2021 Capgemini Belgium started its Mendix journey with support of our strong Center of Excellence in the Netherlands. We’re actively looking to grow our local capabilities to support our team.

As a Mendix specialist, you will be part of a growing team working hand-in-hand and sharing knowledge and experience thanks to our different Centers of Excellence. A mix of local and international colleagues with different cultures, backgrounds and expertise. All sharing the same goal: to come up with the best advice and working software solutions for our clients.

The Cloud & Custom Applications unit will welcome you and is focused on application development and integration. You will be part of the Low-Code Competence Center, not only working with Mendix, giving you great opportunities to broaden your knowledge through collaboration and participation to our Low-Code Community events.

Technical Skills

  • 2-3 years or more of Mendix development experience in build projects
  • Project delivery of Mobile and Web Apps with Mendix
  • Required certifications:
    • Mendix Rapid Developer
    • Mendix Intermediate Developer
    • Mendix Advanced Developer
  • Mendix development and architectural best practices for Web and Mobile development
  • Experience with technical debt management
  • Object Oriented Programming knowledge
  • Mendix application architecture design
  • UML and data model creation experience
  • CI/CD and lifecycle management on Mendix (Mendix Cloud or other)
  • Experience with consumption and exposure of REST (Odata) and SOAP webservices
  • Integration with external systems such as SAP, SharePoint, ...
  • Experience with multilanguage app delivery

Nice to haves

  • Implementation of Single Sign On with Azure AD, SAP IDM, Okta, Auth0 or other externa identity providers for application end-users
  • Optional certifications
    • Mendix Advanced Developer
  • External database integration, usage of Mendix Data Hub
  • Mobile package for store/in-house distribution for Android and iOS

Soft Skills

  • Strong client handling experience and able to communicate with the customers and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project team management and coaching for quality insurance and technical support
  • Solution oriented, ability to translate business requirements into a working solution proposal
  • Good resilience and organisational skills
  • Convincing presentation skills
  • Professional communication level in English.

  • Knowledge of either Dutch or French is a big plus.
