Job Description

We are looking for a MESTer who truly embodies the MEST culture to join and support our Marketing & Community team (on a consulting basis) in the planning and implementation of initiatives, communications, events, and special projects to engage all MEST alumni.

Role Objective

Strengthen past and future alumni relations with MEST Africa through relevant engagement and support initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and update the alumni database

  • Develop, plan and execute multiple alumni-related projects, programs, events, and activities with the support of the Marketing & Community unit

  • Proactively establishes relationships with diverse groups of alumni and works towards enhancing communication and visibility among these groups

  • Work together with the Communication Manager to highlight alumni success stories

  • Work together with the Community Manager (Partnerships) to form strategic partnerships that benefit the alumni community

  • Prepare and present monthly reports on alumni engagement

  • Performs other role-related duties as assigned.

Deliverables

  • Develop a comprehensive one-year alumni engagement strategy

  • Develop a monthly alumni engagement & activity calendar and

lead the implementation of these activities each month

  • Organize quarterly alumni events

  • Build a comprehensive database of all alumni contacts

  • Work with the community team to organize other community events

  • Develop an alumni onboarding and benefits deck

  • Lead the onboarding of all new alumni into the community

  • Prepare and present monthly reports on alumni engagement

Skills & Requirements
  • Must be a MEST alumnus living in Ghana

  • A minimum of 4 years of working experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills

  • An outgoing personality

  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to external and internal stakeholders

  • Great at organizing events

  • Well-organized and punctual

  • Familiarity with Mailchimp and Slack

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
