Northvolt is a European supplier of high-quality battery cells and systems, made in an environmentally sustainable way. The company was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest recycling capabilities.

In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Systems Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.

We are currently looking for full time Management Systems Specialist .

The first responsibility of the MSS is to ensure that all necessary QMS processes are adequately defined, deployed, and continually kept up. Coordinating and animating the operation of the Integrated Management System. Caring for the quality awareness of employees, maintaining a quality culture, stimulating continuous improvement of the organization and its processes.



Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

  • Work in accordance with safety system guidelines, with the guidelines of the quality management and environmental management system based on the internal procedures and instructions.
  • Implementing of quality standards and quality mindset in the organization.
  • Lead, drive and ensure successful implementation and continued certification of ISO9001/ISO14001/IATF16949
  • Manage Northvolt’s QMS including driving continuous improvement and the integration with other management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949
  • Execute internal audit program and compile executive summary with prioritized non-conformity
  • Coach and lead internal auditors and ensure they have the right competence
  • Prepare for and run Management Reviews at required frequency
  • Responsible for ensuring action tracker is kept, up to date and that improvement actions are completed in the organization
  • Ensure the organization deploys effective KPI’s and objectives and that performance is systematically evaluated and analyzed
  • Provide leadership and technical expertise within Quality Management
  • Stay up to date with best practice quality management
  • Supporting internal auditors, supervising qualifications, defining training needs and organising training;
  • Animating and promoting the company's quality policy
  • Analysing the performance of the IMS and preparing proposals for improvements in the organisation
  • Carrying out tasks dedicated to the quality department and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Accountability/authorization:

  • Stop the production process if a non-conformance is detected that endangers occupational safety, results in non-conforming products, and/or may result in a customer complaint.
  • Authorized to report any quality, environment or health and safety nonconformities, ideas, risks and opportunities
  • Making decisions on IMS improvement actions.
  • Audit and coordinate corrective/preventive actions at all levels of the organization
  • Consult with all departments on quality improvement actions in areas identified as non-compliant, monitor their progress and enforce their timely implementation
  • Carry out quality training and check its effectiveness.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing company
  • Command of spoken and written English at level that allows you to communicate freely with foreign customers or Northvolt team members.
  • Command of spoken and written Polish at level that allows you to communicate freely with people who don’t speak English.
  • Computer skills: proficient in MS Office suite, Dimanics365, Power Bi.
    • Ability to effectively conduct meetings specifically related to system non-conformance analyses
    • Proven knowledge of the IATF16949:2016 standard
    • Knowledge of problem solving methodologies: 8D, 5xWHY, PDCA
    • Ability to lead long-term projects

Specific skills (e.g. specific programmes, languages, certifications etc.)

  • Internal system / process / product auditor qualification.
  • Knowledge of auditing ISO and VDA standards.
  • Knowledge of automotive market requirements, in particular the topics contained in AIAG manuals (APQP/PPAP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC).
  • Knowledge of basic environmental legal requirements
  • Certification in accordance with VDA6.3
