Material Sciences Engineer

Your role

Material and process engineer within the aerospace sector.

Your Responsibilities Include :

  • Provide expert support for the development and production of all parts
  • Support the development and optimisation of metal product production
  • Working with external suppliers and partners, and in close collaboration with networks of experts
  • Providing Design Properties for dimensioning parts;
  • Create material and process documents to accompany the definition of the parts produced;
  • Monitoring and assisting suppliers with the industrialisation of new parts.
  • Providing technical advice on metallic materials in relation to problems encountered at all stages of manufacturing, development and operation of parts.
  • Characterization studies for various development support purposes
  • Definition of the study plan and choice of specimens to be studied;
  • Steering and monitoring the studies;
  • Drafting a test report

Your profile

  • Master’s degree (materials, process, …) or equivalent through experience ;
  • Fluent in English with good knowledge of French (Minimum level B1/B2)
  • Knowledge of metallic, aluminum and/or titanium parts
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (forging, additive, etc)
  • Experience in production is an asset;
  • Analytical, precise, and responsible aiming for quality, lean and safety
  • Responsive and able to communicate technical matters correctly and comprehensively;
  • Knowledge of project management and coordination;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
