Software Engineer (Python & AWS)

We are looking for an experienced software professional to join our R&D Services team . This developer role will be working very closely on developing and maintaining our tools and means of supporting our operator partners. This includes a plethora of activities, including developing and maintaining new tools and connections between our internal systems, supporting Lifecycle Marketing (LCM) efforts, and providing analytics or reports to our operator partners, to name a few.
We are looking for someone independent yet versatile to learn and adapt. The team appreciates communication skills – the ability to discuss and listen, to give and receive feedback. We highly value curiosity and the capacity to learn, and the willingness to share your knowledge. You have a good command of English as that is our working language.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide development expertise to support business in own area of specialism. Design, implement, test and deploy software. Make estimations of work effort and risks related to solutions. Participate in the development of the development process itself.
- Participate in troubleshooting and solving customer problems. May have additional roles outside of the team. Program, debut, test, fix, review code and carry out automated testing. Solve maintenance issues. Carry out application level design and technical risk assessment.
- Collaborate with other designers, accounting for dependencies, consult with testers and agree to a common design solution. Participate in adaptation of new tools and practices. Ensure security is appropriately accounted for.
REQUIREMENT:
- Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent.
- Solid hands-on development experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and development specifically in Amazon EC2.
- Solid hands-on development experience with Python, with JavaScript and NodeJS as a prerequisite.
- Prior use and development experience on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) would be a big plus.
- Familiarity or previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Data Visualization (eg. Tableau), and reporting and analytic tools/services would also be a very big advantage.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
