We are looking for a dedicated and driven Transport Planner to our Planning & Logistics team to join us in our mission to contribute to build the world’s greenest battery. The role is a part of our passionate Revolt Ett team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be part of building the first in-house full recycling flow in the world. Recovery and effective recycling of end-of-life batteries is key to closing the loop on batteries and to achieve a minimal carbon footprint.
About the job
The need to recycle batteries is increasing and the construction of Europe's largest recycling facility for batteries in Skellefteå is ongoing and will start its production process to separate out valuable metals for reuse in battery production during 2023. The goal is to source 50% of the raw materials needed for cell production from recycling by 2030 and therefore more recycling facilities are planned at site. So, forget about everything you thought you knew about working in the industry, this is going to be completely different!
In general, you have experience in transport logistics, transport planning and booking. From start, you will be a part of planning and booking all the transports to and from Revolt Ett in Skellefteå and the Revolt Pilot in Västerås. You are a result-oriented, self-organized person and have been a part of driving improvement projects in the logistics area. You have a good understanding of working and cooperating cross-functionally in a multicultural environment. You will work closely with Revolt’s Production planning team, Industrialization team, Purchasing functions, SIOP, logistics and material handling to maximize efficiency.
You should be analytical and logical with an ability to identify opportunities and improvements in the logistics. You also appreciate the importance of adequate packaging to ensure safety and sound condition of the product in transit, as well as the warehouse. Ideally you had the opportunity to work with and have a good understanding on how to use different systems and modules (ERP/WMS/TMS) to support logistical planning and execution. You are familiar with the administrative side of the logistical process, documentation required to dispatch, clear customs etc to succeed in this role, but don’t worry – we will also train you! You will report to our Planning & Logistics Manager.

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.
To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.
Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
