Frontend Developer

Our Tech Department

As an Frontend Developer in Schibsted Marketplaces Denmark´s tech department you will develop new features using modern web framework and libraries in an agile cross-functional team, and you will be part of a frontend community across teams with 8 colleagues.

We work in autonomous, self-organising teams called squads. The squads are cross-functional, including both tech-, product-, analytics- and UX competencies.

We offer the option to work in a hybrid way, working from home some days each week.

Primary work assignments

Expect to work with new technology and will be surrounded by highly skilled colleagues, producing phenomenal quality and constantly improving, testing new tools and spending time on training, pairing and mob programming.

You will continuously help to improve development work in all areas (coding, processes, tools, testing, etc.) when building upon and improving our websites bilbasen.dk, dba.dk or bilinfo.net. To ensure good quality code, you will write automated tests.

To achieve this, you will work closely together with our frontend guild and your squad participating in our ongoing journey to improve and optimise our frontend tech stack.

Professional skills

You are a curious software engineer (or alike) with good knowledge of what it means to work with large and/or distributed systems.

The person we are looking for has experience working with React.js and modern JS/UI frameworks and libraries in general as well as an open mind for learning in an ever-evolving frontend environment.

Other qualifications:

  • TypeScript and solid understanding of HTML/JS/CSS

  • Node.js/NPM and experience with building shareable component packages

  • Basic experience in SEO and Server-Side-Rendering

  • User experience and sense of user interface aesthetics

  • Automated tests like E2E tests and Unit testing

  • Knowledge about tracking of user behaviours

  • Agile software development

  • Understand and practise our tech strategy
