Activities of a Functional CPQ Consultant

You are responsible for understanding the objectives and needs of the customer and translating them into requirements. Throughout your project you will remain the bridge between the customer and the implementation team, actively thinking along with the customer to make sure the solution meets their expectations.

You start from business processes, strategic objectives and KPI’s. With this in mind, you help identify the value proposition of a CPQ solution and support in the high-level mapping of those business needs to the CPQ package. You think and work end –to-end. You focus on the lead –to-cash process, touching on topics such as opportunity management, pricing strategy, product bundling and billing. At the same time, you are involved in analysis, configuration, and activities such as migration, deployments and training. Of course, you will be supported in these activities by a wider team who will help you manage and meet reasonable expectations.

You can read people like books, enjoy challenging the status quo and are always looking for opportunities to improve. You have a strong affinity with technology and don’t hesitate to get your hands dirty to build a demo including the latest Salesforce features.

You play a key role in the implementation of CRM systems from organizing workshops and optimizing processes, to addressing specific functionalities and delivering training. You will also be aiding in estimating workloads, defining project plans, identifying risks and supporting successful results.

Hard skills

· Knowledge of concepts such as Digital, Customer 360, User Experience, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing Automation, Analytics, E-commerce, …

· Certified, and experienced with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Revenue Cloud (CPQ)

· Experience with other CPQ vendors or Billing is a plus

· Experience with CLM solutions (Conga, DocuSign) is a plus

Soft skills

· Strong communication and presentation skills

· Strong in English and one of the following languages Dutch, French. Any other language is a plus.

· Strong analytical skills

· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

· Client focused
