Marketing business function is responsible for guiding prospects & customers throughout their journey with Basware. Through providing thought leading insights, practical advice and a roadmap for automation, in partnership with our Sales function, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions. Leveraging industry leading marketing platforms including Hubspot, LeadForensics and many more, we activate multi-channel marketing programs to help prospects get informed, build their business case, select the right-fit solutions, and ensure our customers get the most value from their Basware solutions.

As the Senior Marketing Specialist, Market Activation for Central Europe & UK, you will be responsible for developing and executing our market activation programs at the country and regional level to increase visibility and drive demand for Basware solutions.

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Market Activation, you will develop, launch, and manage market activation programs spanning prospects, customers and partner audiences, including events both digital and in-person, in order to enhance our brand image, engage existing customers and partners, and drive demand for Basware solutions in coordination with the Brand & Market Activation team members.

You will be responsible for generating pipeline results, ensuring constant delivery of volume and quality of leads, MQLs, and new sales opportunities for your set of programs. Success in this role requires the ability to execute marketing and events programs, set goals, provide excellent project management skills, maintain a keen eye for compelling and innovative content, and possess a passion for continuous improvement.

This role is part of the wider Brand & Market Activation team whose aim is to increase brand awareness, increased our earned media share, and deliver local and regional market activation programs across prospect, customer and partner audiences. You will work closely with Global Demand Generation, Digital marketing team, Proposition marketing team, local BDRs and local sales teams and country managers to ensure our local events, partner and customer strategy is fit for purpose, aligns with our global marketing strategy and supports local market needs.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Accountable for the delivery of event marketing objectives for the region across prospect, customers, and partners
  • Support the development of country event marketing strategy, execution, and reporting performance
  • Frequent alignment with key stakeholders on local programs and event strategies including own (Basware-hosted) and third-party events, as well as local partner and customer engagement opportunities
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders (Brand, Demand Generation, Partner and Sales leaders) to ensure alignment and best outcomes for market activation programs
  • Align with local sales teams and sales leadership as needed
  • Enable sharing and adoption of best practices from other countries
  • Management of lead flow to BDR team from the market activation programs
  • Work with BDR team to ensure effective follow up of leads and conversion to pipeline
  • Partner with digital marketing team for execution of programs
  • Monitor performance of programs and continuously optimise to improve results at the program level

Skills & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a marketing role with a focus on events and/or launching cross-channel marketing programs in a B2B environment
  • Good event planning and project management skills with ability to own end-to-end event planning including messaging and theme development, project management, vendor negotiation, production, event registration, data gathering/reporting, evaluations, speaker engagement, and sales relationships
  • Ability to execute multiple marketing programs and take accountability for results
  • Strong communicator with ability to engage with sales teams
  • Good organizational skills and high attention to detail with ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Business-savvy modern marketer with passion for innovation and new trends in marketing and strong customer focus
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team including working with virtual, global teams
  • Experience of working in an international environment in a global matrix organisation
  • An understanding of pipeline management and driving demand in B2B domains is a plus
  • Fluency in English and French required
