Director of EPC Project Cell and System

We are looking for a driven Director of EPC Project Cell and System to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future.

The Director's focus are all Cell Manufacturing and Battery System projects. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering, Procurement and Construction at Group level. By joining us, you will be a key player in driving the Company Vision enabling Optimization and Best practice to build some of the largest scale battery factories as well as other complex and advanced facilities.

The main tasks consists in:

  • Continuously drive the Project Standard Project Execution plan, including execution strategy, Organization/Rasic/Governance, Stage gate dependencies and Best practice
  • Select and implement the company standard Software, Tools, Templates & Processes
  • Perform and promote training on company standard, best practice, tools, etc.
  • Set and detail the efficiency and optimization targets in compliance with the company objectives

Key responsibilities during the project pre-construction phase:

  • Provide Project standard deliverables
  • Select Project key personnel and ensure allocation of human resources
  • Access expertise and knowledge within the company and from vendors
  • Enforce compliance with the Company standards
  • Enforce implementation of lesson learned
  • Enforce the risk and opportunity register
  • Support the Project Organization to customize the project execution plan, execution strategy, and produce a first budget and schedule**

Key responsibilities during the project execution phase:

  • Validate relevant Project key personnel
  • Optimize relevant allocation of human resources in a company dimension
  • Promote competences and professional growth
  • Access expertise and knowledge within the company/from vendors
  • Enforce compliance with the Company standards
  • Enforce implementation of and collect lesson learned
  • Ensure consolidation and analysis of reporting
  • Support Escalation (in a portfolio perspective)

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in design and construction of large-scale, complex industrial projects
  • Successful track record of leading and growing large multi-cultural and interdisciplinary teams with ambitious timelines and goals
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • Ability to build relationships with contractor organisations and influence them to perform
  • Commercial acumen and experience from handling large complex contracts
  • Willingness to walk the extra mile

Bonus points for:

  • Understanding of large equipment installation and integration
  • Experience from the local construction industry, permitting and regulation
  • Experience from working in international projects/different countries
  • Fluency in other languages (Swedish, German, Chinese)
