About the role
We are now looking for a detailed, curious, and collaborative Head of Accounting and Reporting to join the reMarkable finance team. Are you ready to join the exciting growth of a truly unique tech brand?
The position will be responsible for reMarkable accounting and reporting functions and report to VP Finance. The role will develop the functions to ensure more efficient processes, quality in all deliveries and timely and relevant reporting. The candidate would also provide a key role in upcoming initiatives including compliance on accounting standards, new ERP-system, tax, internal control and audit, and consolidation of accounts. The role is to work closely with all areas in Finance and Legal on relevant matters.
Further tasks and responsibilities
Overall responsible for the process, quality and timing of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of financial reports (internal and external)
Oversight and participation in monthly and quarterly group financial consolidation and group quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting
Coordinate the preparation of Annual report to consider all relevant input from departments such as Sustainability and Supply Chain, and support PR/Commercial to align on the story and communication of our financial figures
Ensure lean operations of “day-to-day” finance activities such as invoice distribution and approval and ad- hoc reporting to other stakeholders including SSB, SkatteFunn, owners, creditors etc.
Be the main contact person for auditor and provide necessary support and documentation when required
Ensure documentation and compliance towards the regulatory bodies, laws and requirements (VAT, Sales tax, etc.) in a global perspective
Consider indirect and direct tax implication of new geographies, sales models and product lines
Lead the financial perspective of ERP implementations
Compliance on NGAAP, as well as training and (potential) implementation of new standards across the group / company
Prepare new accounting manuals addressing new standards, processes (supported by a new ERP system) and intern control
Examples of other tasks:
Contributing to Investor Relations on reporting, due diligence etc
Sparring partner on continuous improvement initiatives in the finance function, especially streamlining financial reporting processes, accounting policies, financial systems and infrastructure

more than 7 years of relevant experience from audit or accounting or experience from a similar role in a publicly listed company
ability to implement process and quality improvements supported by digitalization
expert knowledge and hands-on experience from well-known financial reporting- and consolidation solutions suitable for multi-national companies is considered an advantage
excellent analytical skills and accounting knowledge with in-depth command of relevant accounting standards
familiar with transfer pricing and in debt knowledge of VAT and tax laws applicable for a company with increasing geographical footprint
familiar with best practice frameworks for internal control (over financial reporting)
strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint / similar tools
excellent verbal and written communicator in English
