PR Specialist

Haglöfs AB is now recruiting a PR Specialist to the Integrated Marketing Communications team in Haglöfs HQ, Stockholm, Sweden. It is a permanent full time position with start date according to agreement. You will report directly to the PR Manager.
As PR Specialist you will play an important part in contributing to Haglöfs’ continued success, implementing Haglöfs PR strategy and projects, with the aim of enhancing the brand appearance, promoting sales and supporting countries and distributors in their PR activities.
Main responsibilities and tasks
As PR Specialist you will be responsible for the execution of our PR strategy together with the PR Manager. You will utilize your passion and understanding of storytelling and news, deal with time sensitive and pressured situations, with shifting needs and tight deadlines. One of the core tasks will be to develop and deliver PR programs, which can be easily adapted and in cost-efficient manner rolled out across Europe.
Essential to this position is to be connected and holding strong, authentic and productive relationships with key outdoor and lifestyle media, platforms and influencers shaping conversation and activity across Europe. You will deliver authentic and compelling stories and narratives around our products and our sustainability initiatives to enhance the brand’s connection and relevance to consumers.
You will push boundaries, be bold, progressive, inspirational and continually striving to challenge the traditional and constantly exploring new ways in which to connect with consumers and influencers across Europe. At the same time you will stay relevant into the evolving and progressive trends across outdoor, sustainability and the culture/communities behind.
You will work on your own initiatives and/or alongside the key countries’ teams to project manage events and activities including media partnerships, press conferences, etc.
Responsibilities
- Execute the global PR strategy incl. ambassadors and influencers
- Build and maintain strong relationships to key media titles and ambassadors/communities across Europe
- Support global marketing priorities
- Present ideas for creative and editorial content on a regular basis and execute approved concepts under strict deadlines
- Brief agencies to perform activities, write press material and review
- Handling product orders for ambassadors
- Analyze results and show value of effort through regular reporting
Skills & Requirements
We are looking for a person who aspires to develop within the overall marketing team but also across the whole brand. To be successful in this role you should have/be:
- 1 year minimum experience in a marketing communications position with a strong PR and Media strategy background.
- PR savvy individual and have good digital journalistic instincts
- Preferably already existing contacts and understanding of the media landscape
- Ideally an outstanding passion and understanding for the outdoors and subjects related to it with a focus on sustainability
- Proven track record in pitching and placing stories, excellent writing skills, the ability to react quickly and meet constant needs
- Ambassador for Haglöfs and reinforces the brand image with all audiences
- University degree preferably in communication, marketing or advertising
