We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our fast-growing team! In this role you will be responsible for supporting the wider sales and marketing team by identifying and qualifying new opportunities with prospects and clients. We are looking for a driven individual who has a keen interest in the Media, PR and Social industry and is interested in selling our world-class platform to a wide range of companies across all industries.
As a SDR at Meltwater, you get the opportunity to lead the initial outreach to new potential clients, working in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams. In this role you will leverage creative marketing and sales tactics to prospect and engage with multiple buyer personas to communicate Meltwater’s value. You will be responsible for generating qualified meetings and pipeline for Meltwater’s sales organization.
A day in the life…
Use the phone, email, LinkedIn etc. to connect with inbound prospects
Qualify leads and book in a demonstration with a senior sales member
Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using different tools in our technology stack
You will receive training and development from both sales and marketing teams
Effectively manage inbound lead flow and qualify leads that come through our inbound marketing channels (webinar, contact us forms, events etc) to organize an initial product demonstration.
Work to have a variety of touches (call, email, social, etc.) on all leads and conduct high-level discovery conversations
Collaborate with the SDR and marketing team to develop call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities
Meet or exceed targets of lead to SQL conversion and opportunity creation.
Nurture leads that are not ready to buy and convert them into opportunities in the following months
Develop a strong understanding of Meltwater’s products and the different use cases for potential clients
Get familiar with all marketing campaigns generating inbound leads and utilize business and industry knowledge to generate interest, create/identify a need for Meltwater solutions and progress leads into an opportunity
Work in collaboration with field marketing to drive attendance at regional marketing events
Work together with the sales team to ensure smooth opportunity hand over.

Ability to work to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
Previous sales experience in either a inbound or outbound setting (highly regarded)
