We’re a scrappy startup studio with the vision to change the world of horse games. We recently launched our mobile horse game Equestrian, and we’re now looking for a community manager to work with our growing audience of excited horse lovers! With over 1M downloads and growing, Equestrian is connecting players all over the world that all have one thing in common - their passion for horses!

Our culture

At Kavalri, we value freedom and creativity. Everyone is free to express themselves and have ideas, free of judgment. We believe more in teamwork than ego, collaboration rather than individual progress. We look for kindness in people combined with an ability and love for one's craft.

Some of the traits we love to see in our team members are resourcefulness & creativity, openness & communication skills, collaboration & effectiveness. We hope you want to be a part of the Kavalri!

What we offer

  • An open and inclusive culture gives you the space and opportunity to be the best you can be
  • A team that supports you in every way and constantly rooting for you (and who love to fika & hang out!)
  • Be a part of something that can change the industry
  • As a startup, there are lots of responsibility & room to grow quickly
  • 5000 SEK/year in health-related activities
  • Office on Södermalm, Stockholm with a hybrid solution if you want to partially work from home
  • Flexible hours and no-crunch policy to ensure work-life balance

The world of startups can be challenging but infinitely more rewarding. You'll have a lot of responsibility, impact, and importance. There can be a lot of hard work and a lack of resources, but if we succeed, we will have made a dent in the gaming industry.

The role

The community manager is the face of our game and studio, and the one connecting us with our players. With a passion for Equestrian and deep knowledge of the game, the community manager is responsible for building a thriving game community and making players feel invested in Kavalri Games’ mission - creating the best horse games in the world!

The community manager drives engagement, plans campaigns and creates content, and helps the team stay in touch with the community through daily check-ins with our players. They relay both praise and constructive criticism from the players, and are a reliable and fair communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Manage & grow the game’s social platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok through engaging content and communication
  • Build and nurture a friendly player community that people want to spend time with
  • Create engaging, on-brand content in the form of images, videos, events and livestreams
  • Analyze, organize & optimize marketing and growth campaigns
  • Relay community moods and feedback to the team & stakeholders
  • Be the face of Kavalri Games in the community & keep the community updated about Equestrian

Being a part of Kavalri means being a part of a small startup where everyone helps out to the best of their ability. This list is not exhaustive. There’s a lot to be done at a startup, and at Kavalri, everybody contributes to help the entire team succeed.

Requirements

We think that you …

  • Have 2+ years experience managing game communities or similar
  • Have video & image editing skills, & an eye for aesthetics
  • Are comfortable both in front of, and behind, the camera
  • Are independent and ambitious, and take initiatives to constantly improve our community work
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Have a knack for staying up to date with social media trends
  • Are a caring team player who wants to be engaged in a tight knit startup and contribute with your positive energy and initiatives
  • Are passionate about Equestrian & creating great horse games!

Expectations

You’re expected to …

  • Communicate with our players every day, setting the tone for our community and contributing to a friendly atmosphere
  • Independently ideate, plan and create high quality video and image content
  • Bring a positive and proactive attitude to the table, have a startup mentality and take part in shaping Kavalri Games to become the best studio we can be!

Our community of excited players is the reason we’re making our games, and we care about them deeply. Our player base is kind, and rooting for us to deliver a truly special horse game. As a community manager at Kavalri Games, you’ll have the important responsibility, but equally rewarding challenge, of being the pillar of a thriving game community.
