Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.
As trusted advisors with industry and solution expertise we focus on providing value to our customers through advice and insight into best practices. In partnership with Marketing, Customer Services and Partners, we enable organizations to simplify operations, spend smarter and drive the transformation of their Finance & Procurement functions.
TEAM DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS POSITION:
BASWARE seeks a skilled and experienced Senior Presales Manager to lead our North America Presales team to support the direct and indirect sales channel in achieving their goals and targets. The job will be based in our Charlotte headquarters location or your home office location.
You will be responsible for directly managing the activities of our presales team in primarily the North America market.
In addition to working closely with local sales and other teams, your team will also be part of the highly motivated global specialist team supporting all Basware countries, and you will report to our Vice President of Global Presales. Responsibilities include coaching presales consultants on how to effectively present the value of Basware solutions to business and C-level users, along with deep dive technical and security discussions with IT and security teams.
Responsibilities will include Building, Coaching and Mentoring an effective team of Presales Consultants, providing leadership through activities such as:
Building competitive proposals and presentations, and supporting RFP responses
Performing powerful solution demonstrations and technical/security presentations
Acting as a business advisor for our customers and prospects during the sales cycle
Ensuring product roadmap competitiveness and communication
Support for solution design & proof phases for networked Source-to-Pay solutions
Contribute to the internal bid qualification process and member of the local bid committee
Calculating and presenting customer ROI on Basware solutions
Delivering Customer Success Lab workshops on best practice P2P solutions
Guidance for Marketing lead generation and expertise in Marketing events
Cross-border global sales support
Skills & Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
In order to thrive and succeed in this role, the following skills are important:
5+ years of successful management experience in one of the following fields: Presales, Business Consulting, Product Management, Sales Specialist, or AP or Procurement role
Well-versed in applying multidisciplinary skills such as customer focus, value selling, solution and process orientation as well as a strong functional / technical understanding
Skilled in aligning solutions according to industry trends
Strong Business acumen with the ability to handle complex business challenges
Experienced in identifying, qualifying and managing opportunities and driving proposals
Education: Bachelors’ degree required in either IT, Computer Science, or Economics.
