Basware is looking for a Business Consultant to work together with key customers to deploy Basware’s cloud-based Sourcing, Purchasing and/or Accounts Payable solutions and ensure successful adoption by providing quality advice on best practices, change management and relevant subject matters in the Source-to-Pay domain. The Business Consultant will also help stakeholders solve complex challenges and ensure they get the most business value out of their Basware solution and experience. The person must have a strong ability to focus in on driving adoption, customer retention, customer satisfaction and assumes a leading role when coordinating across Basware to deliver on success and improvementplans. The Business Consultant has a responsibility to develop and share best practices within the organization and contribute to the development of services related to Customer Success. On the customer side, the Business Consultant will work with contacts from accounts payable team leads and key users to Finance Managers and CFOs.
Key job tasks & responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for customer success
Create, maintain and implement achievable customer success plans at any stage of the customer lifecycle. Continuously monitor, measure, guide and align both customers and others within Basware to ensure tangible business outcomes are achieved and can be referenced.
Building and confidently presenting financial impact analysis and business cases to support Basware and customer decision making
Act confidently as a networked purchase-to-pay practitioner and trusted advisor
Be able to both continuously collect and provide both customers and others within Basware and provide valuable guidance on best practices, industry trends and relevant benchmarks. Develop trusted relationships, including at the C-level, and engage and influence.
Leading detailed discussions, evaluation exercises and workshops to determine business and change management needs and translate them to a workable solution
Ensure successful ramp-up of Basware solutions and services
Provide guidance and steering decisions to the Basware and Customer implementation teams to ensure agreed upon business outcomes are met and/or mitigation strategies are activated. This includes the initial delivery through to expansion and change requests.
Ensure successful and high adoption of Basware solutions and services
Create, implement, and measure user and supplier adoption strategies linked to customer’s business outcomes. Actively measure adoption to identify and pursue opportunities. Work with customers and internal teams, including product owners, to improve solutions and services and meet adoption objectives.
Leading the design of business processes and management systems to support the Source-to-Pay solutions delivered to our customers and help them measure and sustain success
Manage operational activities to ensure success
Accountable for the successful delivery of success and service improvement plans, working both cross-functionally and at times leading virtual teams to deliver agreed actions in a coordinated manner and to optimize the customer experience.
Deliver and support the development of success services
Deliver services designed to drive customer success, including workshops, coaching and profiling customers’ maturity across sourcing, procurement and finance to identify opportunities. Refine existing or develop new methodology, frameworks and tools based on experience, research, and analysis.
Skills & Requirements
In order to thrive and succeed in this role, you will have significant experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented role within an ICT environment. You will also have a tertiary qualification in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in working with financial processes, procure-to-pay software systems and/or enterprise software applications, will be beneficial.

Required competencies and experience:
Strong experience in working with financial processes and/or procurement processes, procurement-to-pay software systems and/or enterprise software applications
Experience in Continuous business improvement and value creation for the customer, through driving and optimizing the adoption. Ability to drive business outcomes
Experience of working in a global matrix organization with geographically distributed teams
Compliance and IT Security awareness and deep understanding of Security protocols
Self-driven and target orientated
Excellent presentation skills with a capability of leveraging business terms to relay solutions simply
Broad knowledge of Source-to-Pay or financial supply chain processes and concepts
Thoroughly understand customer needs and the value proposition of cloud-based solutions
Can coach and lead others in a way that motivates and elevates knowledge.
Strong critical thinking skills and can objectively analyze facts to form judgements and influence decisions
Strong/fluent written and verbal communication skills in one of the Scandinavian languages (Norwegian, Swedish or Danish) and English (both required)
