About Morrow Batteries
Morrow Batteries aims to develop and manufacture the most sustainable batteries in the world. Our sustainability strategy includes cell manufacturing based on 100% renewable energy and with zero-carbon footprint, minimizing carbon footprint in the whole supply chain and creating a closed loop system for recycling of battery materials.
In this context we are building a battery industrialization centre and a giga battery cell factory in the south of Norway -developing and industrializing new battery technologies. The modern facility will make it possible for Morrow to industrialize its future battery cell technologies and carry out customer qualifications. It will have world-leading technology that facilitates for production of cathode active materials and battery cells intended for qualification for the European automotive industry but also other customers from the energy storage and consumer market.
Our first factory will manufacture differentiated and high-performance battery cells based on the existing Li-ion technology platform. Morrow is also investing in R&D on more sustainable battery chemistries, including Manganese rich cell chemistries and a breakthrough Lithium-Sulphur-technology, to be at the forefront of battery technology development.
Morrow is strategically located on the “Battery Coast” in the South of Norway, and close to Kristiansand, the 5th biggest city of Norway.
