Job Description

Meltwater offers comprehensive media monitoring and analysis across online news, social media, print, broadcast, and podcasts, capturing more content and conversations than anyone else in the industry. As a Meltwater IT Solutions Delivery Engineer you will be working on the next generation Technology for Meltwater. Supporting the latest tech Meltwater is using.. You will also work with the IT ServiceDesk and PMO teams to delivery new technologies to the organization and ensure the Teams are trained before release. You will also be a subject matter expert (SME) for the Solutions Delivery Team.

Skills & Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the technical authority for all Meltwater's internal IT Infrastructure
  • Collaboratively work with the other IT groups such as Service Desk, Security and PMO as part of 3rd line Support, technology projects and programs.
  • Recommend and execute modifications to Meltwater IT Systems to increase efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all Meltwater Solutions Delivery supported Systems and processes.
  • In conjunction with other members of the IT Solutions Delivery Team, establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure overall systems security
  • Conduct research on hardware and software in support of procurement and system development efforts.
  • Review and implement new system releases and vendor supplied patches for all Meltwater IT supported systems.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles for end users, team members and colleagues.
  • To be involved in projects related to the Meltwater IT Solutions Delivery Team, whether it be from a design, research, implementation or testing perspective as directed by the IT Solutions Delivery Manager and the IT PMO.
  • Be a technical mentor for the Service Desk Teams providing proactive guidance and support as needed.
  • Other duties as necessary

Required skills:

  • Documentation by default: You naturally understand that tickets and lists need to be kept up to date in as close to real time as possible with as much information as should be shared, and expect that of others on your team.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server 10 Years or more.
  • Automation skills preferable.
  • Independent and self-motivated and very thorough worker
  • Good analytical skills
  • Developed communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail
  • Ability / willingness to travel worldwide on projects / meetings when the world opens again.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility: You don’t just start something; you see it through to a real conclusion and are proud of what you’ve done. You don’t just close a ticket after 1 test, you ensure a thorough and complete solution and a happy employee, you provide a thorough handover to another team member before the ticket gets closed, and you update or create documentation when you see gaps.

Technology experience required:

  • Significant experience and knowledge supporting software such as:
  • Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
  • Good Knowledge of Azure and Office 365. 4 Years or more.
  • Good AWS Experience.
  • Working Knowledge Google Workspace. 3 Years or more.
  • Good working knowledge of Azure AD, MFA technologies, 3 Years or more.
  • Practical knowledge of Azure Functions and features
  • Good networking experience, Cisco preferable.
  • Some Exposure to Meraki technologies, MX, MR, MS a bonus
  • DMARC / DKIM / SPF experience.

Additional technology experience enhancing success:

  • Educated to Degree level preferably in a Computer Related field or comparable work related experience.
  • Experience with IT Service Desk Tools
  • Knowledge and understanding VoIP Telephony Systems
  • Microsoft Windows Server administration on Windows Server 2012/16, or 2019
  • Knowledge of Active Directory user management
