Your responsibility is to understand your buying audiences, competitive and market landscape, and help create global messaging and positioning of our product and service portfolio to address the challenges of our audience. You manage buyer and market insights, value proposition, and messaging, as well as sales and marketing materials for our services portfolio.
You strive to become an expert in the audience-centric marketing approach, ensuring that messaging, content, and campaign strategies are centered around customers’ buying needs. You help communicate the latest product innovations and service capabilities to the customer base. As part of the role, you will evangelize solutions and their key differentiators to prospects, customers, partners and Basware people.
You primarily support the product marketing managers but also work closely with various members from other marketing teams including Content Marketing, Partner Marketing, Demand Generation, Analyst Relations, Sales and Marketing Operations. You are a close colleague and market advisor to Product Management as they continuously develop new services and improve existing services. The role requires you to be dynamic and agile in your creative thinking as well as be able to provide commercial insight to product and service development as it happens.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Insights and messaging
Support development of insights and value propositions – Develop buyer persona understanding, value propositions, messaging and positioning for your services portfolio
Know competitive landscape – understand the competitive landscape and how to succeed in the marketplace against key competitors
Go-to-Marketing portfolio innovations
Advocate innovations – communicate about new capabilities delivered by Basware in its product portfolio to improve Basware’s share of voice and share of wallet
Support product and service launch– assist in planning the launch of new products and services and the execution of the launch through marketing
Enable marketing - create high quality marketing content together with the content team and external agencies
Enable sales – communicate the value proposition of products to the sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process
Skills & Requirements
Required competencies and experience:
Excellent communication and writing skills in English, with the ability to take complex technology and simplify message to customers & prospects
Demonstrable skills in developing product positioning and tailoring messages to specific buyer audiences that helps sales to win against the competition in the market
Demonstrable skills in developing customer-driven buyer journey using information gathered from buying audiences and industry reports
Customer orientated mindset
Be an innovative and creative thinker
Able to prioritise, manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
Experience in procure-to-pay or in finance related technology/services, preferably SaaS, is preferred. Financial / Procurement industry experience is a major advantage.
