Role scope
The Solution Architect is part of the IT Projects Delivery department that acts as a supplier and is in charge of analysis, budgeting, documentation, design, construction of the technical solution, development and implementation of projects.
The Solution Architect transforms the business needs of external clients into a technical solution, following which a technical system is created. The purpose of the system is to automate and streamline a series of business processes, to create a product or service, which will bring a strategic advantage for the customer and financial efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Analysis of IT requirements and trends:

  • Analyzes and responds to customers' business requirements in order to build, adapt and harmonize IT solutions.
  • Analyzes the technologies specific to the communications industry, global IT development trends, global IT systems development methodologies, market requirements as well as its development trends, proposes an IT solution in accordance with the business need, budget and available time requested by external customers.

Designing IT solutions:

  • Designs prospective and reusable information technology solutions for end customers.
  • It is ensured that the IT solutions proposed in response to the clients' requests fit and correspond to their architectural requirements; validates together with the other IT system designers the differences between the detailed architecture of the proposed IT solution and the architecture at organization level and proposes solutions for their alignment and harmonization.

IT Strategy:

  • Maintains the strategy and development of the systems in the clients' portfolio, in accordance with the long-term development plan of the IT department.

Other responsibilities:

  • Identifies the risks that may arise in the use of current technical platforms and makes proactive proposals to improve technical platforms and systems, which will bring a strategic benefit to the customer.
  • Coordinates analysts and system engineers in projects and reviews and validates the detailed technical requirements proposed by them to ensure compatibility of requirements with the designed and proposed IT solution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in project implementation
  • Solid knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of DevOps tools and processes
  • Good understanding of the telecommunications industry
  • Good knowledge of databases and computer systems
  • Good understanding of the life cycle of an IT product (hardware, software, databases, applications, licenses) and its development
  • Good knowledge of project management
  • Financial knowledge
  • Experience in supplier management

  • Experience in integrated information systems

  • 4 years experience in the field of Information Technology

  • Preferably 1 year experience in roles similar to that of software system engineer

  • Abstract, conceptual, innovative thinking, perspective thinking
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions and influence the decision-making process
  • Negotiation and coordination skills
