We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our Programs Team in Skellefteå in our mission to contribute to a greener future.

About the job

As Program Manager, you will work closely with the other Downstream program managers as well as the Senior Director of Northvolt Ett Program to drive and manage the delivery of the Northvolt Ett battery factory in Northern Sweden.

You will be given the responsibility to manage a subset of the factory expansion, from design concept phase until hand-over to manufacturing. The role puts emphasis on project management skills with strong focus on maintaining cost and schedule. You will work cross-functionally across the business to deliver your respective program, with Construction, Process Design, Procurement and Automation, amongst others.

You will be expected to build a broad network across Northvolt and various Northvolt sites (primarily Stockholm, Västerås and Skellefteå), as well as developing and managing your own team.

The role is based in Skellefteå.

About the team

The team is approximately 5 people strong, the key goal for which is to deliver downstream blocks on time, to quality and on budget. The person we are looking for is driven, caring and structured. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • In collaboration with the broader Northvolt team, build a detailed project plan for Northvolt Ett downstream blocks, establishing vital dependencies to the business (e.g. customer deliverables, dependencies into other parts of the factory, …)

  • Manage and coordinate project resources from Northvolt to ensure project delivery during both the planning and execution phase

  • Managing Northvolt suppliers and contractors, as well as signing new ones

  • Frequent interaction and coordination with all relevant Northvolt departments

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Engineering degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. or similar) or similar is required

  • Minimum 7 years industry experience, of which at least 5 years with hands-on project leadership experience in demanding environment (such as large scale CAPEX-projects, demanding development projects etc)

  • Experience in driving large scale and complex greenfield projects

  • Fluency in English

  • Track record as project manager driving complex projects, covering both planning/designing phase as well as execution phase

Bonus points for:

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry

  • Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)

  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
