Would you like to play a key role in setting up Gard’s centre of excellence for KYC (Know Your Customer)?

As Team leader of the KYC Advisory team, you will ensure that Gard has satisfactory KYC processes and will be responsible for meeting all regulatory KYC requirements.

Although KYC is not new to Gard, we are now centralizing our core KYC processes and establishing a new KYC Advisory team. The team will have two team leaders. Together you will be instrumental in setting up Gard’s KYC advisory team. The Team leaders will also be involved in the recruitment of team members.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for developing employees, set direction for the team and drive results.

  • Everyday administrative and strategic leader tasks.

  • You will manage day to day deliveries and internal reporting.

  • You will focus on quality assurance.

  • You will ensure that all relevant instructions are up to date and arrange training for the organization at regular intervals.

  • Drive improvement to ensure continuous improvement are achieved in the KYC processes.

  • Motivate and encourage the KYC team to ongoing personal development

Who are you:

  • Have achieved good results within KYC and / or as a team leader. Previous work experience within KYC and/or Compliance is an advantage.
  • Strong interest in developing industry knowledge of financial crime risks.
  • Ability to think strategically and build a strong team spirit.
  • High degree of cultural, equality, diversity, and inclusion awareness
  • Motivated by achieving results via others.
  • Have strong communication skills and be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Have personal authority and ability to balance the need to meet regulatory requirements with excellent client and colleague engagement.
  • Have a proven track record for planning, prioritization, problem solving and decision-making with a structured approach to work.
  • Are analytical, with attention to detail and strong risk awareness.
  • Value high service levels and the importance of "getting it right the first time”.
  • Collaboration across teams and across the organization.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of the Gard’s industry segments as well as the insurance industry is an advantage.
