Resolve, repair and install fibre optics systems and ensure that they work properly.
Examine and replace faulty and old fibre optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines.
Take care of fibre splicing and rectifying fibre optic problem areas.
Develop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections to make sure that a faulty fibre optic system does not destabilize its performance.
Installing new infrastructure or upgrading existing infrastructure to accommodate technological advances in the telecommunications industry.
Keep track of the signal strength to ensure adequate performance.
Formulate and maintain system records and system designs.
Determining the location of underground utilities such as gas, water, and electricity lines before beginning construction work.
Handling fibre optic equipment such as splicing machines, fibre optic test equipment, and fibre optic cable termination devices.
Skills & Requirements
The candidate should have a degree in electronics, telecommunications or computer technology
They should have work experience, training and industry certification in fibre optics certifications
Great problem solving and Strong leadership skills
Self‐starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to complete jobs within allocated timeline
Must have good communication skills in order to effectively communicate with the team and customers
Must be able to follow company Standard of Procedure
Must be able to work effectively with a team.
