Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely. In the plant located in Gdańsk, we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. To accomplish this, we need engineers. Lots of engineers.
Our team in Gdansk is looking for driven engineers or soon-to-be engineers. We have open positions for:
- Process engineers : Launch and integration of new products will be your success. Tightening and leakage tests lie in your field of expertise? Great!
- Equipment engineers : Adhesive dispensing, laser welding, and test stations – is that something what you like?
- Automation engineers : ERP, PLM, MES are like an alphabet for you?
- Electrical test engineers : Your day will be filled with planning, developing, delivering and implementing robust, productionised electrical/electronic testing solutions.
- R&D engineers : Are you good in resolving technical problems into actionable project plans: sourcing machines, specifying instrumentation, integrating new systems, and designing custom hardware or software?
- Production engineers : Processes and production equipment are your life? We are here to let you design, develop, implement and nurture them.
- Maintenance engineers : Keeping our plant equipment up and running will be your mission.
- Logistic engineers : Analyzing warehouse and logistics solutions is necessary. Isn’t it?
- Quality Engineers: Delivering a quality in every quantity - That's a challenge!
- Supply Chain Specialists and Buyers : The continuity of production will depend on you and your organizational skills!
We believe you have studied electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, machine building, or similar. As a person, you are strongly goal-oriented, curious and eager to learn. Drive and passion are coded in your DNA.

Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Founded in 2016 to enable the European transition to a decarbonized future, Northvolt has made swift progress on its mission to deliver the world’s greenest lithium-ion battery with a minimal CO2 footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling. Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.
Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.
We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
