Job Description

Vaimo’s PIM ( product information management ) programme is experiencing explosive growth. Vaimo seeks an experienced operations manager to lead and manage our PIM programme, guiding it through this growth phase, and into the next.

Vaimo executes big, complex technology projects for the world’s leading brands, retailers, and manufacturers. Our focus is commerce and customer experience. In recent years we’ve added PIM solutions Akeneo and InRiver to our platform portfolio. In the last year we’ve seen huge growth in the PIM side of our business, and we need someone to help manage this growth . This is where you come in.

In this role you are responsible for the global, underlying processes, reports and working relationships that lead to world-class PIM delivery. Together with our global team of PIM specialists, you drive the success of PIM at Vaimo.

Our clients are located around the world. Each is linked to one of Vaimo’s country units , responsible to build PIM delivery capabilities in the form of an individual, or a team.
Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Represent the global PIM team to the rest of the organisation

  • Making sure the different teams in our global PIM organisation understand the “ end in mind ” for PIM at Vaimo, and how their work contributes to this end.

  • Maintain a global resourcing view of all incoming PIM projects (sales), and all ongoing PIM projects (delivery). This includes Discovery, Implementation and Continuous Delivery projects.

  • Drive Vaimo’s PIM delivery practices so that all projects are delivered in a similar way

  • Drive Vaimo’s PIM technical agenda so that the global team is working on the right connections and extensions at the right time

  • Build a stable PIM organisation that is primed for growth by introducing job families , and proactively hiring an effective team

  • Encourage PIM knowledge sharing between countries

  • Drive discussions around Vaimo’s selection of PIM platforms and - together with the team - motivate to add/remove platforms from our range of options

This role forms part of our global operations leadership team. You report into the Head of Operations. You will work in close collaboration with the Global PIM Sales Manager. Working across all our markets, you should expect 25 - 30 travel-days per year, mainly within Northern Europe.

Skills & Requirements

We believe you are already an experienced operations manager with at least 3 to 5 years experience in managing a digital division, digital department or digital product team.

Your skills should include:

  • Experience working with, or consulting on, SaaS products. This could include product information management (PIM) systems like Akeneo or InRiver, commerce platforms like Adobe Commerce, Salesforce, Hybris, ATG, or customer experience platforms like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), or ERP systems.

  • Experience in working with resource management and forecasting

  • Solid experience in leading delivery projects and delivery teams

  • Experience in working with enterprise, complex customers

To succeed in this role, we believe you have an ability to unite, engage and influence people around a project, concept, or strategy. You are a strong facilitator who can lead complex discussions involving multiple stakeholders, often remotely. You are energetic, and easily fascinated by how different businesses work. Last but not least, a great listener.
