Do you want to be a part of one of the most agile companies in Denmark?
And do you want to grow your competencies, developing Denmark’s largest commercial sites (dba.dk, bilbasen.dk and bilinfo.dk) - impacting more than 2 mio. visitors pr. month?
We have high ambitions and strive for a fun and inclusive environment.
We are on a growth journey, and we’re in the process of hiring new engineers, engineering managers, and teams.
As a new QA engineer in the tech department you will refer to one of the engineering managers, become a part of one or more cross-functional teams, as well as a part of our QA team.
Our tech department
We currently have more than 60 engineers in our Aarhus-based tech department. Our engineers work with quality assurance, frontend, backend, iOS, Android, architecture, systems, and devops. We have the responsibility for all code and systems behind and around dba.dk, bilbasen.dk, and bilinfo.dk.
Our engineers are currently organised in 10 cross-functional teams.
Our cross-functional teams
The teams working with DBA and Bilbasen consist of frontend, backend, and mobile developers, a product manager, and a product designer. Each team is also supported by an architect and a QA engineer. This cross-functionality enables each team to display a high level of autonomy and ability to decide and deliver relatively independently from other teams.
Every squad has the responsibility of delivering solutions of high quality, and they are empowered to take the best decisions for their area.
Our QA team
Our QA team currently consists of 5 QA engineers, who are all based in Århus.
Besides supporting the cross-functional teams and overseeing the quality on all our platforms, the QA team also strives to improve the overall quality assurance processes and tools.
Our QA engineers each support up to 3 cross-functional teams.
You will support the cross-functional team and enable the developers and the team to deliver high-quality solutions and products. This support may come via coaching, guiding and teaching them best test practices, via facilitation of risk sessions or test sessions, or via manual or automated testing.
Primary work assignments
We expect that you will:
Have a hybrid role, both coaching our cross-functional teams as well as performing your own quality assuring initiatives.
Be supporting one or more cross-functional teams on when, how, and to what extent quality initiatives should be applied.
Help us as a team to build a wider awareness of end-to-end testing across all our platforms.
Be doing risk assessment, creating test plans, doing manual and automated testing together with software developers, organising mob sessions, coaching software developers and product managers about quality questions.
This includes expanding our existing test automation framework and improving the test coverage on our different platforms, for example via pair programming or pair testing sessions.
