Quality Assurance Chapter Lead

Simployer continues to grow, and we are now expanding our team in Poland – Gdańsk.
We are looking for a new Quality Assurance Chapter Lead who you will become the owner of test strategy within Simployer Group, building QA competence and implementing it in our development teams. You will work closely with group headquarters in Norway, with occasional travels.
The overall goal for this role is to ensure quality in our products and introduce best practices in ways of working (manual testing and test automation) in our development teams across Simployer Group.
What chapter means in Simployer?
QA’s are integral part of product teams. Chapter is their common base of knowledge across the teams and country borders.
As a part of Simployer Tech Polska, your main task will be :
- Aligning test strategy with product roadmap and tech strategy.
- Building up the right capabilities in quality assurance specialists in Simployer, equipping them with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver functional excellence, and ensuring that they are focused on delivering value to the business.
- Exploring and introducing new ways to increase quality in developed products.
- Experimenting with new tools and practices.
- Contributing to automation practices and strategies among the teams.
- Help in establishing company standards regarding tests/quality assurance area.
- Implementing modern engineering practices to ensure product quality.
- Distributing the work on Quality Assurance Chapter initiatives among the teams.
- Holding regular knowledge-sharing meetings, workshops, and competence training.
- Recruiting new quality assurance specialists locally.
- Supporting process of following up with individual competence plans (guiding along career paths).
- Coach, inspire and motivate – with a strong focus on less experienced and new onboarded QAs.
- Supporting code reviews with developers, help QAs with CI/CD pipelines, bootstrap test automation suites (in code & pipelines), spin up test databases with test data in an automated way.
Skills you are going to use:
- Knowledge of both: test automation and manual tests.
- Hands-on .NET/C# - especially on creating and designing high-quality test frameworks
- Frameworks and tools we use in Simployer: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Xray.
- Strategic and pragmatic mindset on how the QA function can serve the organization.
- Enjoy being a coach and natural go-to person for experienced and less experienced colleagues. You invest in people and enjoy it when they succeed.

- Polish and English - B2 at minimum is necessary.
Our company is based in Gdańsk Nowomiejska 3. This role can be done remotely but Simployer is a real crew! We would love to meet you in person! We expect you to visit our office on a flexible basis.
