Monitoring of all passive links on the network (fibre, Dark fibre)
Supervision of activities carried out by ad-hoc staff, training and coaching of these staff.
Ensure that the processes and procedures are followed through in all operational activities within NOC
Maintain a sound working relationship between the network operations section and all other departments within the company and external.
Diagnose and clear any faults or alarms assigned by trouble ticket, or ensure escalation within the stipulated time period to appropriate departments. To close or forward all trouble tickets promptly.
Generation and documentation of NOC report such as daily, weekly and monthly reports, and core availability reports.
Track and resolution of faults/tickets
Report/escalation of Incidents
Service Availability and Performance
Provide support services for other technical teams.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Comprehensive knowledge of network troubleshooting, and maintaining remote devices
In-depth knowledge of network monitoring systems and network operation techniques
Good understanding of the relationship between routers, switches, patch panels and connecting devices to the network
Monitor network and resolve/escalate all issues that occurred on the network
Perform the tasks of monitoring network performance by using standard management tools
Basic understanding of network monitoring concepts and management tools
Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
Ability to communicate efficiently with excellent management and organizational skills
providing network operations support at the client site
Experience managing, supporting and deploying network infrastructures
Handle the tasks of providing support in network acquisition and analyzing network traffic requirements.
Ability to detect faults, prioritize, respond and escalate accordingly
Ability to work in a team environment
Able to collate and interpret data from various sources
Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritization of workload
Clear communicator (both written and verbal)
Willing to learn and develop new skills
