As HRX E-Commerce Manager is the main point of contact and accountable party for the HRX e-commerce retail sales channel (B2C) and the HRX B2B e-commerce retail & training channel (B2B). The E-Commerce HRX Manager is a key liaison between the Business Unit, product, marketing, technical, and executive teams. Ultimately, while others also work on and contribute to this channel’s success, the HRX E-commerce Manager is the primary driver for daily performance optimization and maximizing growth potential. This leader must develop optimized internal processes for product launch loading, pricing optimizations, regional Hub & Spoke model of enablement and assist in driving the martech roadmap for the e-commerce channels.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Work closely with colleagues to deliver an engaging digital customer experience, promote the Hurtigruten Expeditions brand and mission, and capture online sales in accordance with business objectives

Manage web development projects in collaboration with the HRX Digital Development team to ensure the e-commerce platform functionality helps ensure that we present a strong and compelling brand presence in the digital retail marketplace

Lead strategic short and long-term planning for HRX e-commerce sales channel to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals and other business objectives

Monitor and measure site performance in order to identify sales opportunities and solutions, make recommendations and improve performance

Develop and execute project plans including resource requirements, deliverables, milestones, and completion timelines

Analyze data to deliver data-driven strategies that deliver top performance and achieve commercial KPIs

Build and manage the annual HRX e-commerce sales and expense budget

Provide project management for and oversight of the e-commerce channel, including ensuring that all aspects of the channel are coordinated and functional; identify and explore how to keep positive trends going and course correct when trends are underperforming

Manage relationships and projects with colleagues and outside vendors to ensure that the e-commerce platform is suitable for business objectives

Monitor and ensure legal compliance for e-commerce consent & privacy policies

Execute established promotional sales cadence and optimizations under the guidance of Market Teams and ensuring that feature functionality is enabling market flexibility and pricing strategies

Work with product & Merchandising colleagues to manage item availability and ensure a compelling online product assortment

In tandem with the Digital Merchandising Specialist, ensure execution of all tasks related to managing the addition of new products to the site, on-site merchandising and product rotation, on-site promotions and regular updates to all content

Drive projects to conclusion working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met within time and expense budgets

Ensure right stakeholders and cross-functional team members are involved, document decisions and actions items, and follow up with owners on commitments

Manage end-to-end system quality assurance and build training & testing

Assist with creation of requirements documentation, definition of workflow, solution design, testing and implementation with EXP Digital development teams

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or e-commerce, with strong background in project management, e-commerce technology, web development or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5-7years’ experience managing a website business and e-commerce at both strategic and operational levels

Proven track record of meeting sales goals and improving customer satisfaction for a direct-to-customer business; experience providing direct customer service is a plus

Ability to work with cross-functional partners who support the channel and provide expertise; understanding of multi-channel sales with ability to bridge gaps

Strong interpersonal skills specific to interdepartmental collaboration

Strong analytical skills and ability to measure the impact of all decisions to build strategic business plans for the e-commerce sales channel

Experience with Contentful/EPI E-Commerce systems preferred

Understanding of web statistics and tracking programs with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Google Analytics certification preferred.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn internal systems

Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills, including attention to detail

Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and support the business objectives to drive profitability
