Northvolt is a European supplier of high-quality battery cells and systems, made in an environmentally sustainable way. The company was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest recycling capabilities.

In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.

As the equipment installation lead for Construction, you will carry out the coordination of the Process Utilities works execution as well as commissioning and associated services during the development phase of the Northvolt Facility Construction project – current investment being built in Gdansk.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interface coordination between NV, business partners and contractors

  • Management of the execution phase of testing and commissioning works

  • Lead the Installation, Commissioning, Performance Tests and Completions Plan for the Construction scope and Utilities (MEP, teletechnical, automation, IT) at site level

  • Coordinate the systemisation of the work scope with the delivery teams, contractors, equipment vendors and partners

  • Establish a strong relationship with the main contractors, support vendors and sub-contractors to generate a cooperative working philosophy focused on project delivery

  • Engage with the wider NV project, Operations and Maintenance functions to ensure their needs are managed and smooth handover of plant and equipment takes place

  • Coordinate with main and sub-contractors, the planning, installation and execution of commissioning activities to meet the scheduled milestone delivery of the building services and Process Utilities

  • Day-to-day execution, monitoring and control of completion at site

  • Ensure all relevant environmental, health and safety standards are being followed, encouraging a positive health and safety culture

  • Arrange handover of all relevant documentation, BIM model and required certification including both NV and legal requirements

  • Provide support to the site activities to meet Northvolt contractual completion targets
