Technical Specialist: System Safety

Are you the System Safety expert we are looking for, to be a part of our team in Gothenburg, Sweden? This team will work on the system safety tasks for the high-performance platform which is designed to host vehicle applications from basic vehicle state machines to advanced active safety and autonomous drive functionalities.

Your Role:


You will be part of a team of experts, working with the next-generation core compute platform consolidating both the software platform and the hardware. The scope of the team is to measure, report and improve the overall FUSA status of the product. The team shall provide consultation for the development of safety-related deliverables (e.g. SACA, guidelines, processes, etc.) and support the journey to launch a safe and reliable core system platform.

Your role will include involvement & coordination with system engineers as well as with teams that are deploying software. The assignment will be part of hands-on work packages and it is intended to foster a system safety culture throughout the organization.

Main responsibilities can include the following tasks:

  • Technical Safety Concept (TSC), including the development of safety strategies and safety mechanisms
  • Safety Requirement management (including Verification Reviews)
  • Architecture (High Integrity Environment ASIL-D, High-Performance Environment ASIL-B)
  • Design (support developers with knowledge of ISO-26262)

We are now looking for people with an excellent understanding of Functional safety concepts and know how to implement them to create a safe and reliable core system. You are humble with great communication and stakeholder management skills.

To be successful in this role, we are happy to see that you have:

  • Experience in embedded systems within the automotive industry
  • Deep knowledge in functional safety (e.g. ISO 26262)
  • Knowledge of cyber security (ISO / SAE 21434) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE is desirable.
  • Skills for understanding and analysis of complex mechatronic systems
  • Experience in automotive embedded software development as well as in the field of hardware and software architecture is meritorious
