We are building a modern, friendly, and diverse product-first tech company with HQ based in Stockholm and now, we are looking for a Sales Director to join and contribute to building & scale our Sales team in Stockholm.

Initially, you will be stepping in to cover for our Sales Director who is currently leading the Existing Customer Department, due to maternity leave. Since we will keep growing, you will co-lead this department together with her, once she is back. Currently, there are two role-specific areas in the Existing Customer Department; Relationship Managers (Quota carrying) and Customer Success Managers (non-Quota carrying).

As a Sales Director, you will lead, develop and coach the Existing Customer department at Mentimeter HQ. You will build on the success that we have and strengthen the team by providing new perspectives, business acumen and sales excellence. This role will help ensure that we build a transparent, collaborative and well-functioning Sales Team together with other Sales Directors and the Global team in Toronto.

The Sales Director role at Mentimeter HQ is focused on the Line management on the entire Post sales team that is 28 people today, and the 4 managers reporting to you. You will also drive the strategic and tactic agenda for Customer Success. You will spend most of your time working with your team to overachieve their ARR goals, tasks related to managing a team such as development talks, employee administration and recruitment, and tactics development and implementation.

To thrive in this role you need to be motivated by leading managers, recruiting talent, team goal setting and overachievement, developing teams, coaching others, valuable experience in sales, and having a structured approach towards administrative tasks.

What you will do:

  • Initially (during maternity leave): Overall responsibility for the Existing Customer Department in the Mentimeter HQ Sales Team. After that: Co-leading this area with focus on one of the two role-specific areas within the Existing Customer Department.

  • You will be part of our Global Sales Leadership team led by VP Sales.

  • Proactively identify potential deviation vs. budget.

  • Own recruitment and overall staffing for the area. Ensure we reach the recruitment budget and goal.

  • Departmental Salary setting in collaboration with VP of Sales.

  • Lead and develop a team of today 4 Sales Managers - responsibilities include but are not limited to

    • Support Sales Managers as Team Leads and Line Managers

    • Both personal and career development (360 and 1:1’s with Sales Managers)

    • Promotion / Change of role.

  • Own, develop and implement strategy and tactics for the development of the area.

  • Make sure we execute the tactic for the coming 18 months (dedicate people, request resources and follow up).

  • Communicate, drive and foster relationships with clients and potential partners of higher importance when necessary.

    • Promote Mentimeter in important / escalated customer calls, meetings/trips etc

Skills & Requirements

We believe you have:

  • Saas experience with selling B2B

  • Previous Customer Success experience

  • -Previous Line manager experience within leading managers and with a team size of 20 + people

  • You need to have a commercial background and worked in a quota-caring role.

  • Experience working with KPIs and OKRs

  • Strong negotiation, collaboration skills as well a proven track record of building strong teams

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Fluency in English
