Purpose of Role

As Human Resources Operations Manager you will represent the people function in nShift. As a subject matter expert of our people processes you will provide an efficient and engagement work environment and be a key business partner to our teams. As a solid HR administrator, you will play a key role in generating and understanding our people data and metrics and will support the global HR and talent teams in providing a first clas employee experience. You will embody the best of nShift and work to build both an engaging local and global culture

Overall responsibility

You’ll have a flair for creating a positive working environment to motivate and support our teams. You will be the subject matter expert on all people processes and take the lead in evolving our practice in this area. This role is critical to the people team’s success and will be responsible of our KPI’s, evaluation and reporting practices in nShift. In the UK, the office, and its facilities, will be yours to run with the support of the HR Team, while organising fun social events locally to boost employee engagement, wellbeing and morale both locally and through your engagement activities.

The area of responsibility includes:

  • You must be passionate about working in the HR and People department
  • Work with the CPO to build nShifts employee experience strategy within People Operations
  • Proactively work as a business partner to support and advise stakeholders
  • Coach, support and challenge manager to provide the best employee experience
  • Consult with managers and provide daily HR guidance – help them to achieve their best
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR function in all geographies
  • Lead on ongoing change management projects within people operations
  • Be responsible as the primary owner of our people systems working as a super user and providing training and guidance where needed
  • Business partner with other support functions to share knowledge and improve practices (e.g. finance and HR)
  • Understand local employment requirements and be able to manage contracts and benefits in each location
  • Take ownership of all people data and KPI reporting, suggesting process improvements where needed
  • Be analytical – analyses our people data and work with the HR team on process and people improvement initiatives
  • Design and be responsible for people workflows and processes building out our automation capabilities so our teams can work efficiently and effectively
  • Be the Site Responsible for the London office and key liaison with WeWork

Competence and experience

  • Proactive self-starter with a sound business head, able to take ownership and use initiative to make sound judgements and decisions autonomously
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks without ever compromising on quality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), dedicated to providing the highest level of service
  • Adept at managing and improving systems and processes
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to instill confidence in those you are supporting
  • The ability to thrive within a pressurised, fast-paced and ever-changing environment – we’re ambitious, you should be too ?
  • Able to effectively interact, exercise discretion, judgment and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external contacts, including executive management, partners and clients
  • Proficient IT skills - Word / Excel / PowerPoint
