Mentimeter's vision is to transform presentations and meetings into fun and interactive experiences by making it easy to listen and to be heard. We believe in giving everyone a voice to create meaningful engagement. We are building a modern, friendly, and diverse product-first tech company based in Stockholm and we would love for you to join us! At Mentimeter, we are passionate about working smart and creating scalable but still compliant solutions within data privacy and we want to take this a step further.

In this role, as a legal counsel with focus on data privacy, you will on a daily basis help and assist every team within Mentimeter - in particular the legal team (which you will be part of), the platform team, the sales team, the marketing team and the data team. The questions will vary and be both internal and external, but mainly relate to privacy matters and information security and other compliance matters.

Examples of tasks within this role are to:

  • draft and provide support in relation to Mentimeter’s policies related to data privacy / information security and establish routines in relation thereto

  • draft, negotiate and review other privacy-related documents and agreements

  • provide support to our sales team in their data privacy related discussions with enterprise customers and assist the other members of the legal team with privacy related questions, e.g. in relation to contract negotiations - it is important that you understand, investigate and learn to argue for not only the legal risks but also risks related to business and operations that may be discussed.

  • independently initiate and drive compliance-related projects and ensure that we implement proper routines internally within data privacy and information security

  • educate employees within Mentimeter about the ‘need to knows’ - potentially have the role as the company’s data processing officer

  • be in charge of internal records/agreements/templates and continuously update / amend such documents as we grow and develop

  • help support on a day-to-day basis with questions and tasks related to data privacy and information security, such as to enable for data subjects to exercise their rights under GDPR

  • support the product team, the platform team and the marketing team to ensure we grow, develop and market Mentimeter in compliance with GDPR and work with our security team to ensure technical and organizational security measures are in compliance with GDPR

  • help us, on a continuous basis, stay informed of applicable legal requirements and ensure that we take all necessary actions to ensure that we stay compliant with data privacy laws - on a national and global level - given that we have a Canadian subsidiary

  • be the number one go-to-person whenever a data privacy question arises and be the sounding board for all kinds of projects where data privacy matters are involved.

Work with great people

Front-end Developer
"Dog videos vs. Cat videos is the ever ongoing fight of Internet. Soner has clearly picked a side: Doggos. The cuter and hairier the better."
Business Development Director - Sales
"All the way from Italian metropolitan via small town of Switzerland to Stockholm to be a part of the Menti-family. It's like it was written in the stars (check the cancer sign)."
Product Manager
"Anna is a Stockholmer and a part of the Mentimeter KTH alumni crew. When she's not innovating at Mentimeter, she's doing jumping jacks on the handball court or partying in the USA."
Head of Brand
"As a kid Carl wanted to be a fashion designer, but ended up doing the next best thing - branding and PR. When he's not at Menti he's touring Sweden with his cover band (apparently they're terrible)."
