Our cloud applications are hosted on top of AWS Public Cloud and are used by our clients all around the world. We develop our applications by using technologies like Angular, TypeScript, .NET, Python, Java and RabbitMQ. We use following state-of-the-art tools to develop and deliver our applications into production: Git, Stash, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Robot Framework, Selenium, and Docker. We also follow modern DevOps culture in everyday work we do and utilize DevOps practices like continuous integration and continuous delivery in building our Microservice based applications.
Senior Oracle Database Specialist
Basware is looking for new talent to help manage the IT infrastructure used to support our Enterprise Purchase to Pay SaaS systems. We currently operate systems in 4 data centers across Europe, USA , Canada and Australia. The services hosted in these DCs are used by a wide range of customer organizations globally.
You will play an important role in the support of Basware's production systems. As part of a global operation you will work closely with our colleagues in production support, deployment as well as with R&D and other specialist teams. Due to the global nature of this position proficiency in English is required.
You should have an appropriate education and relevant work experience. For you to be successful in this position, you will need experience in support and management of large, performance critical systems. A knowledge of IT security solutions is desirable. We appreciate a knowledge of financial or ERP solutions and good communication skills.
We expect you to have at least 5 years’ experience of supporting Oracle databases, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
A knowledge of AWS cloud is highly desirable, and experience with supporting MSSQL or MySQL databases is an added bonus.
Responsibilities would include:
- Monitoring and maintaining the availability and efficiency of our database environments
- Responding to customer related support cases, tracing and diagnosing issues.
- Assisting internal projects using tools like SQL Developer, Datapump
- Working during US and AU business hours
- Taking part in a 24/7 on-call rota
