Job Description

ARC is now looking for its own legal expert to help the group further on its growth journey nationally and internationally. The role is wide and stretches over contractual law, labor law, transactions, and intellectual property rights.

About the role

ARC is experiencing significant growth and is seeking to strengthen the legal support structure within the Group with a Stockholm-based Head of Legal. As this is a new role, you will be the one to shape and implement the legal support structure for ARC; a Sweden-based, Nordic, rapidly growing, and internationalizing group of companies. Apart from having a huge impact on the group's further development, you will get the opportunity to work with exciting strategic projects, and a wide variety of legal matters across ARC’s different businesses, functions, and jurisdictions. It is a unique opportunity to work in a purpose-driven, entrepreneurial firm with high momentum and expansion plans. You will report to the CFO/CEO and the role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working in close collaboration with the commercial teams in each group company and providing guidance and support in legal matters— primarily related to customer-related agreements.

• Providing legal guidance and practical support to business heads and group functions concerning supplier agreements and NDAs, labor laws, internationalization of the group, intellectual property rights, GDPR, compliance etc.

• Supporting the deal teams in connection with M&A transactions together with our external advisors, but with the ability to also lead smaller acquisitions from a legal perspective.

• Developing and implementing template contracts, general terms & conditions, other legal template documents, and processes/structures.

• Mapping regulatory requirements relevant for the business in the different markets.

• Managing legal aspects of ARC’s incentive program including managing legal aspects and documentation related to participation and potential exits from these programs.

Qualifications:

• A Swedish or foreign LL.M. degree.
• Excellent track record and experience from practicing commercial law at a well-renowned law firm or inhouse at a larger company – ideally both.
• Experience in working with M&A and other complex projects in an international context.
• Working knowledge and experience from a variety of commercial law disciplines, including corporate law and employment law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish.
• Strong business acumen and ability to deliver commercially-oriented legal advice.
