Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

Former F-Secure Corporation is undergoing perhaps the most significant transition throughout its history so far, as the company pursues to separate its consumer and corporate security businesses from each other through a partial demerger. Upon completion of the demerger, F-Secure’s B2C and B2B operations will continue as two independent publicly listed entities: F-Secure Corporation, focusing on consumer security business, and WithSecure Corporation, focusing on corporate security business. Trading on F-Secure shares on Nasdaq Helsinki OMX is expected to begin on 1 July 2022.

We are expanding our set of core competencies in the Data and Artificial intelligence domain and therefore are looking for capable Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team. We operate the company global Data Lake and process a large variety of data sets, ranging from cybersecurity threat data to product elemetry data. Here you will work with the other parts of the company to help making better data driven decisions and protect our users even better. Many diverse and interesting data related problems will need to be solved along the way.

Key responsibilities :

• Create new data pipeline and continue to enrich our Data lakes, processing of millions of events every day
• Design and plan new data solutions together with the rest of the team and our customers
• Work closely with data scientist to make sure data pipelines are reliable and in a usable format
• Keep up to date with new technologies and evaluate as they become available
• Work together with cybersecurity experts to find novel solutions to real life problems

What are we looking for?

• Several year experience with relevant programming languages, particularly in Python
• Experience in Databases, ranging from relational databases to NoSQL and Graph databases
• Experience in using AWS or other public cloud services
• Several year experience in API design, quality practices, continuous deployment, DevOps and DataOps
• Several year experience with Spark and/or similar big data technologies
• Good communication skills

Bonus points:

• NodeJS, Scala and Java experience
• Agile, DevOps experience
