Lead Engineer Recycling

Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Lead Engineer recycling to join our stellar team in Stockholm. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

You will be part of Northvolts recycling unit and work closely with all other units in the company.

In general you have experience in the field and have been working in innovative and challenging projects with very high demand on accuracy and scale. You will have the overall responsibility to develop the technical process for Northvolt's recycling unit. In addition you will be working with business development activities forming the future recycling business of Northvolt.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Technical process of the recycling business

  • Business Development

The Lead Technical Engineer is a vital member of the Recycling team and the role is key to Northvolt's mission to enable the future of energy.

Education/Experience

  • Master in Engineering or other relevant university degree
  • +3 years relevant work experience
  • Preferably knowledge in chemical processes
  • Track record of successul programs
  • Must have worked in multi-cultural environment

About the company

Northvolt was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery cell, with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest ambitions for recycling, to enable the European transition to renewable energy. Northvolt’s team of experts is building the next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, it will be Europe’s largest battery cell factory and produce 32 GWh worth of capacity annually.
