We are looking for versatile and driven software professionals to take part in our efforts to build smart crawlers which can collect and extract (semi-)structured information from millions of pages on the Internet. We combine traditional crawling technologies with machine learning to build semi-automatic systems that can learn to crawl all sorts of public content like news articles, company profile data, press releases, job posts, etc.
Meltwater believes that business strategies will be increasingly shaped by insights from the growing world of online data that lies outside the corporate firewall. In support of this vision, we build applications with nicely designed interfaces to present our customers with the intelligence we gain via processing our high-quality, uniquely rich content repository, growing by a billion documents per week, collected from sources all over the web.
Responsibilities:
- Work in small co-located teams, contribute to the team’s achievements
- Analyze use cases and requirements, plan and estimate work efforts
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components of high quality
- Take full ownership of the developed services together with the team

Skills & Requirements
Required
- Software engineering skills
- At least one year of experience in Java, Spring and software development tools
- Creativity and good problem solving
- Openness toward exploring and learning new technologies
- Affinity for good design (OOD), insistence on software quality
- Affinity to communicate and teamwork
- "Can do" attitude and strong motivation on self-development
- Experience with Agile development
- Fluency in English
- EU Work permit
Desired
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Maven
- Experience with AWS
- DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS Tools
