We are currently building a team that is responsible for strategic follow up and development of our Manufacturing Partners (EMS/ODM/JDM) for device and accessories. For this team we are looking for a Sourcing Manager who will help us establish, build and develop a world-class supply base and strong supplier relationships with our Manufacturing Partners that drive the evolution of reMarkable's existing and new products.

About the role
Working with sourcing in reMarkable is something very special. With us, you will have the opportunity to directly influence the products, delivery capacity, and profitability of a growing company that is rapidly expanding its customer base, geographical presence, and product portfolio. As a Sourcing Manager for Manufacturing Partners, you will be responsible for further developing and implementing a global sourcing strategy for product development and manufacturing, follow up on supplier performance, contract management and developing our global supplier network. You will be a key player in ensuring that our customers receive good products delivered at good prices and on time.
We work closely with several of the global leading suppliers to the consumer electronics industry and you will gain many exciting experiences with international trade in the role. You will be part of our Supply Chain team and report to Head of Partner Management.
The role’s key responsibilities will be to:
Manage and maintain long-term supplier relationships with Manufacturing Partners in cooperation with management and engineering
Run the development, implementation, and management of global sourcing and supplier strategies to give reMarkable optimal flexibility, quality, cost and supply assurance
Responsible for supplier relationship management, follow up on supplier performance, and contract lifecycle management
Manage frequent RFx processes to benchmark current suppliers from a TCO perspective, identify areas of improvement, and implement these to realize extraordinary results
Be responsible for technical/functional and commercial supplier negotiations
Facilitate the development of industry leading supplier contracts
Support and enable teams across reMarkable to handle operational challenges in relation to suppliers
Manage and develop our processes and way of working with suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency
Drive supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, lead time reductions, improvement in payment terms, warranty, IP, etc.
Maintain strong insight in key supply markets and market drivers and monitor trends and developments

Desired experience and characteristics:
Master's degree in relevant subject areas (business/engineering) or equivalent
Experience within strategic sourcing and/or global supply management, preferably internationally
Experience from sourcing and managing outsourced (manufacturing) services within electronics, consumer electronics, industrial products, or similar
Experience from management consulting will be a plus
Ability to work both strategically and detail-focused
Negotiation skills in order to land complex deals
Knowledge of key contracting provisions/requirements and experience in negotiating strong contracts supported by legal
Strong analytical skills
Ability to manage and impact stakeholders on all levels
Language: English. Mandarin is a plus but not a requirement
